How to Re-Size your TEXT

If you have trouble with small text on the internet you will probably know by now that you can make the text on this site easier to read by clicking the "Bold" button from the " Home Page" button drop down menu. What you may not know is that you can re-size most web sites' text by accessing the "Text Size" option on your browser. To see this re-sizing in real time you will need to look for the drop down menu. The "menu" on your browser could be different from the "Internet Explorer" browser, but if you take a look at the picture on the right you will see what we mean.

This is showing where it is on Microsoft's "Internet Explorer" browser version 7. It's near the top on the right hand side of this browser and the button is called "Page". Click on this button and a drop down menu reveals settings you can change. Move your mouse down to the "Text Size" option - another sub menu appears. The choice ranges from "Largest" through "Medium" (the default) down to "Smallest".

Just let your mouse roll over the options, click one, then let go with the button. Hey Presto! The text on this page will resize to your request. This may not work on all sites but it does on this one and more sites will be getting there soon!

See below for earlier versions

If you have an earlier Internet Explorer, you may find the "Text Size"option hiding at the top left of the browser. In this case, you access the "View" menu, then move down to the "Text Size" option as above with exactly the same results.

If you want to reset the size back to normal (Medium), just access the menu again and choose the "Medium" setting. If you chose to keep a different setting for easier viewing, you will find that when you leave the internet your page may look as though nothing has been changed. But when you turn off your computer it will keep the settings you have made so the next time you access the internet you will have your own personal text size set up and ready for you to surf the world wide web.  Unfortunately the "bold" option is only on this site!  (because we are bold people ....)
