Oct. 6th

8 miles

Hardwick Hall, Ault Hucknall and Teversal. Meet at Teversal Visitor Centre (SK 479 614). From the A60, follow the A617 to B6014 (Skegby), turn left for 3 miles. Visitor Centre signed right—before the bridge. Leader Derek M. (Tel. 926 4023) Take a picnic. The route winds via Old Teversal Village through fields to Ault Hucknall, then does a gentle climb to Hardwick Hall. We'll pass through Lady Spencer's Wood back to Teversal.

Caunton and Maple Beck. Meet at the lay-by on the A616 (SK 741 599). Take a picnic. Leader Peter D. (Tel. 956
2867) Easy walking through undulating country fields and paths. Could be over-grown in places.

Lambley, Burton Joyce, Bulcote. Meet at Floralands Garden Centre car park, Catfoot Lane, Lambley (SK 617 458). Leader Pauline K (Tel. 962 0899) Take a picnic. A gentle climb over the hill to the Trent Valley and back via Bulcote.

Nov. 17th

8 miles

Clumber Park. Meet at the small car park 1 mile north of Budby on B6034 signed for Cycle Network Route 6 (SK 612 716). Leader Alan W. (Tel. 953 7652) Take a picnic. Note: Parking space may be limited—please share cars.
This walk allows us to enjoy the splendour of Clumber Park without the car park charges!

Outwoods to Woodhouse Eves. Meet at Outwoods car park (SK 514 160). Leader Mary H. (Tel. 01509 853 246).
Take a picnic. Hilly area with good views, but could be muddy in places. This walk can be shortened.

Keyworth, Bradmore and Plumtree. Meet at Keyworth Village Hall car park, off Selby Lane (SK 615 309). Leader Kate C. (Tel. 974 3760). Take a picnic. Easy walking on firm roads, with distant views, green lanes and field paths.

Stoke Bardolph. Meet at the riverside car park, opposite the Ferry Boat pub (SK 647 420). Leader Robin R. (no phone number). Take a picnic. Easy walking with 3 stiles and one slight incline. Should finish by 2pm.

Market Warsop area. Meet near the Bradmer Hill disused windmill, at the junction of B6035 and A6075 (SK 584 662). Leader George S. (Tel. 933 4407). Take a picnic. Variable walk through “The Lings” woodland pathways, moderate inclines and back through Warsop, with about 1 mile of road path.

Trent Bridge to Beeston Locks & back. Meet at Trent Bridge embankment car park. (SK 580 382) Take a picnic, but possible brunch at the Locks. Leader Diana M. (Tel. 01949 850 834). A walk along the River Trent to Beeston locks via Clifton Bridge and the Trent Valley Way.

Creswell Crags. Meet Nottingham Station 9.10 am for the 9.25 am Worksop train. Book to Whitwell return £6.00. (Alight at Creswell Station 10.16 am). Leader Paul W.(Tel. 982 1022) Take a picnic—& change of shoes? From Creswell through Welbeck estate over pastures and farmland, through woods to Whitwell Station. Train departs at 2:47pm.

Feb.23rd

Moorgreen and Greasley. Meet Colliers Wood car park, Moorgreen (SK 481 481). B600 thro’ Moorgreen, turn left at sign for industrial park. Limited space—car share. Height limit for tall vehicles. Leader David B. (Tel. 01509 852 629) Take a picnic. From the site of Moorgreen colliery, we skirt Newthorpe, on to Greasley via the Gilt Brook and part of the Robin Hood Way. Return via Park Wood and Moorgreen reservoir.

Mapperley Plains, Woodborough & Calverton. Meet at the Travellers’ Rest pub on the B684 Plains Road. (SK 605 463). Leader George W. (Tel. 920 3860) Take a picnic. Pleasant walk across fields, with some hills and wide views.

Mar. 23rd

8 miles

Ockbrook, Spondon, Locko Park & Dale. Meet at Ockbrook & Borrowash Parish Hall, Church St. Ockbrook. (SK 423 358) Leader Doug T. (Tel. 981 8341). Take a picnic. Easy walking apart from a steepish climb and descent in Hermits Wood that may be quite muddy. Some road walking through Spondon and Ockbrook. Tea room in Parish Hall, opens 9am.
